Change always comes.....

I have always adapted to change, not looked back and went with with my gut best I could. It’s all about people / relationships no matter what industry your in. Screw people over for that short term dollar, ghost them while interviewing, engage then waste their time, all talk no action…it all comes back around because your reputation should matter more to yourself than others. Do right thing for you and you’ll do right for others. I am not perfect and just a soul having a human experience and yet we all try to do our best in situations… yet we can all fall short. There is hope that comes in unique ways in business and life. I am thankful for the future and no matter where you are people want the same things. They want to be heard and treated with respect. We all fail at this based on our life’s situation at the time but those that know our true core and stay with us are rare but we all still seek and hope. If I am in Paris, Texas, TN or NYC I treat everyone the same and a curiosity conversation about their life. I am actually curious and want people to have better lives through old school basics. I learn when I talk to others about human EQ.

If I meet a CEO in NYC I treat them the same personally as I do the barista at my favorite coffee shop in small town Texas. My heartbeat does not raise and I am not impressed by what you have, who you are… I am impressed how you communicate with others, build something from nothing, self education, street smarts, not waste people’s time and do your best to make situations/ business a win-win that helps change lives. If it’s all about you (transactional) no one will ever truly be for you ( respect)! We all make mistakes, I make mistakes and hope to learn from them.

Business or Personal you are on your own journey and have to do what’s best for you and then you can be there for others. Some of life’s hardest decisions are “ am I doing the right thing”… sometimes you can’t see it and need the faith of others both personally and in business to help guide you. Lately I have had a few that really have held onto me during the storm and others that just could not hold on anymore. This is life and can be so hard personally and in business. I am trying to hold on to others as well but sometimes just have to let go and hope a plan not in my understanding will show me the way.

As Cody Johnson says in his song “Human” – “ I thought by now I’d have it figured out. How not to make the easy thing so hard to do. I bet that I’d be further down this road . If I could read the signs that point me to the truth …….. All the headlights, All the Midnights, Chasing all that empty, Still ain’t got it right. All the Crazy , All the gypsy. I guess all I’m sayin is forgive me . If I don’t know what I’m doing . I’m still learning to be human”

We all have issues and being an entrepreneur is one of the hardest things I have ever done and the most rewarding as it allows me to be Me!

You put so much effort into a potential project and then it goes away = no cash flow. Believe in people, give consultation, they don’t listen then they disappear with your IP= loss of time and $. So what! Learn from it and keep helping. The people that need to be in your path will show up.

I never have followed the crowd, always thought for myself. I have self educated my whole life and made my own way from nothing. We all have a story and your story matters and don’t let others put their story on you and judge or compare. What they went through is not your story. Help them but do what’s right to you even if hard. Business or personal… just do your best and go with your heart but also have to go with your head when in the dark valley afraid and nothing or no one is a guaranteed rope pulling you out.

I learned a great life lesson after my last corporate TV job…to never be a cog in a wheel again just for a paycheck(they rent your time/expertise but don’t own your career, you built it and if they can’t help grow it or they lack integrity, then move on - precious years go by fast).

I have learned to work with people who stick to their word and to diversify/ grow my opportunity before it’s gone.

It’s up to you to make change not the people around you.

“when we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to Change ourselves” Viktor Frankl

Don’t apologize anymore for being you! Love it or leave it.

Be your own best advocate. Be the hero in your movie of life. Hard times will come and more to come with the economy in 2025. My opinion: as these empty office bldg loans / interest rates / remote work impact on commercial bldgs/ office space starts hitting as the bldg owners run out of cash and it trickles down across the USA. Govt overreach, mass spending, groupthink, lack of real leadership for all / average citizen is our biggest problem.

Learn to diversify, realize you are the master of your fate because no one is coming to save you, stop blaming others, retreat into yourself (again), find out who you really are and stop looking up to people that only look down on you. Look for those that will weather the storms with you when you are at your lowest and then one day you will be there for them as well. God is not a god of Chaos. He will bring people in your life that will guide you even if for a season only… it’s a life full of seasons! Let's hope in business and personal we all find those people that will love and respect us enough (even if we don’t deserve it) to stick with us during the valleys of life and then hand in hand climb the peaks together.

Thanks for reading if you did and Onward! Life is short and complicated but so thankful to be here!

Let's talk
We would love to hear from you!
